Dutch Plus Female & Male Hormone Test (Urine & Saliva)
The DUTCH Plus Female & Male Hormone Test
The DUTCH Plus Hormone Test takes hormone testing to a new level. In addition to sex hormones and their metabolites, the DUTCH Complete™ looks at the overall diurnal pattern of free cortisol, and the total and distribution of cortisol metabolites. The DUTCH Plus® adds the Cortisol Awakening Response (CAR) to bring another important piece of the HPA axis into focus.
What’s Included in the DUTCH Plus®
The DUTCH Plus® uses four dried urine samples and five saliva samples. These samples are collected over the course of one day, from waking to bedtime. The DUTCH Plus® report includes Metabolites of Estrogens (10, including E1, E2, E3, 2-OHE1, 4-OH-E1, 2-OH-E2, 4-OH-E2, 16-OH-E1, 2-methoxy-E1, 2-methoxy-E2), Androgens (8, including Testosterone, DHT and DHEA-S), Progesterone (2), Cortisol (3), Melatonin (6OHMS), 8-OHdG, and OATs (6). Urine Porphyrin Testing – Doctors Data (Test Kit Urine)
Porphyrins are proteins involved in the formation of heme measured in urine. Heme is essential for the proper function of many proteins including oxygen transport, energy production, and detoxification. Proper porphyrin production is essential for our body’s capacity to detoxify toxins.
Porphyrins are particularly well suited for evaluating heavy metal toxicity. The heme pathway is a constantly-changing metabolic pathway that is active in almost every cell of the body. Disturbances in this pathway may cause an accelerated accumulation of porphyrins. It is important to know that these specific enzymes are produced in the heme pathway and are found all over the body and are highly sensitive to the presence of various toxins, creating the large accumulation of porphyrins in the pathway.Categories: All Labs, Alzheimers Disease - Dementia and Related Testing, Anemia - Coagulation and Related Testing, Arthritis - Joint Health and Related Testing, Diabetes - Insulin Resistance - Metabolic Health and Related Testing, Fatigue and Related Testing, Gastrointestinal Health and Related Tests, Heart Health and Related Testing, Heavy Metals - Environmental Toxins and Related Testing, Individual Tests, Inflammation and Related Health, Insomnia - Disrupted Sleep and Related Testing, Mental Health & Wellness and Related Testing, Specialty Labs, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Related Testing, Vitamins - Minerals and Related Testing Tags: alcohol, Anemia, chemicals, Depression, emotional stress, fasting, Fatigue, heme, hormones, infections, iron, medications, smoking, sun exposure, Toxins$289.00
